Incident Log – Team 1

Start time 0105hrs

Vigil 1 - Restaurant

Flip gets a bad headache in the restaurant near kitchen area and senses a young man (residual energy) and she gets the year 1642. He is a man in his mid-20s, slim, around 5’8" with light brown hair/fair. Flip feels he was hit on the head and is confused. A knocking sound from door is heard. Flip feels this man is Albert and there is a connection to a highway man. She feels Albert was killed by the highway man possibly a case of mistaken identity. Albert is connected to the farm.

The temperature has risen to 23.

0120hrs

Flip calls out to Albert but then feels sick, she sees him dragging himself to a building with blood on his face. He was trampled by the highway man’s horse. Flip feels Albert visits here to contact the highway man

Cath reports she has a pain in her back.

At the other end of the restaurant Flip picks up on a little girl running though the area, her name was ‘Emily’ or ‘Emmy’. She had fair curls and likes being here because she likes the people who live here. It was sensed that she can be a little madam and items may go missing.

Incident Log – Team 1 (Continued)

Vigil 1 – Restaurant (cont...)

01:30

Flip senses a lady housekeeper, well-built, around 5’ 2"/3". Flip sees her in a big kitchen at a wooden table wearing an apron with mop cap and sleeves rolled up kneading dough.

Flip can smell baking in this part of coaching inn - could have been wife of owner.

Flip senses the place used to be an assizes.

Incident Log – Team 1

Vigil 2 - Pool Room

Start time 01.50hrs

There is a heavy feeling in this room where Flip feels ‘the judge’ comes in. She has a headache. The spirit in the room is making Flip ‘sit up straight’, it could be the judge who is around 5’10" - possibly man from the same time as the cook in location 1. He has a tricorn hat, messy long hair, grey is his natural colour hair. He wears a jacket down to knees with a long waist coat. He has a thin face and long nose with a bump in the middle - wont give his name as we don’t need to know!

Flip feels a hanging feeling as she stands between the fire place and door but doesn’t believe they hanged people here.

Flip says she is now picking up on the 1950s and she senses a man on a scooter, its 1956. Mods and Rockers came down the Norwich road to get to Great Yarmouth. Flip senses a fight where someone was hurt, hit over the head with a pool cue (Mod). His name was Andy Davison, it was not known if this was the cause of his death.

There is a cold feeling at the far end of the pool table and someone is playing with Flip’s hair as she stands at that far end of pool table. Calling out Flip sees a shadow by the door and she throws some beer mats asking for them to be returned - none were.

Incident Log – Team 1

Vigil 3 - Living Room

Start time 02.35hrs

Door is left open.

Voices can be heard coming from the bar below.

Flip conducts an experiment using a dowsing crystal and the others were invited to ask questions:-

Any spirits? – yes.

How many? – five in the room.

Flip senses that the spirit of a little girl has come up to living room with them.

She was asked to move the rocking horse in the room nothing happens.

The other four spirits are two male and two female.

One of the females is older and the other a younger maid.

A well to-do lady has connection with a maid around 1695, the lady’s name is Elizabeth (an older lady) and the maid’s name is Mary.

The men spirits are not connected. One man is well-built with a moustache and red cheeks. He was an Officer married to Elizabeth and would have been around 62/63 when he died.

The other male spirit is younger.

None of the sprits died here.

We all feel a temperature drop around the legs and the energy/atmosphere in the room gets heavier.

Flip then feels it is the younger man who came in. He is from a later time than the other and he is a solider from 1800s, possibly from the France war and possibly a Private.

Smell of baking bread is smelt by Flip and Vikki. Cath says she smells a roast dinner.

Flip senses the name Alfie - he was part of a local landowner’s personal army and was a poacher not a gamekeeper and Flip hears him laugh when she says that.

Belinda feels a draught.

03.10 The Investigation Ended

Conclusion

Aspire Paranormal were given a warm welcome by the landlords Mark and Belinda for which we than them most sincerely.

The pub itself literally resonates with the atmosphere of a bygone age and the centuries of use by Clients and Landlords alike.

Although no firm evidence was found to a possible haunting at this location, our mediums picked up on a lot of interesting points which were, after later research were corroborated, and it was felt by both the Aspire members and the landlords Mark and Belinda that another visit could prove to be more than fruitful.

Once again Aspire Paranormal would like to thank Mark & Belinda for their Hospitality.
